SPECIFICATION FOR ECC- 004 RESURFACER

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:

EXTOL RESURFACER is a 100 percent Acrylic binder designed to be mixed with silica sand and water at the job site and then applied to an asphalt surface to reduce porosity and create a smoother surface.
USE:
Apply this product to asphalt pavement that is to be color coated with EXTOL 3000 color coating.

SURFACE PREPARATION:

All cracks should be cleaned and filled and leveled to the existed asphalt. The asphalt should be clean, sound, free of grease, oils, dirt, and foreign matter and should have the proper grade and pitch. New asphalt shall have cured for a minimum of fourteen days. (See ECC- System)

APPLICATION:

Apply EXTOL RESURFACER using a standard squeegee with a 50-70 durometer flexible rubber blade.
After the asphalt has been properly prepared, apply EXTOL RESURFACER by means of squeegee. The proper mix is as follows:

• EXTOL RESURFACER 50 gallons
• Water 20 to 30 gallons
• Sand (60 or 90 mesh) 600 to 800 pounds

A semi-fluid mix is desirable. The above formula will yield approximately 100 to 110 gallons of RESURFACER. This formula is usually sufficient to resurface one standard size tennis court.

DRYING TIME:
Drying time is thirty minutes to one hour depending upon temperature and humidity. At 77’ F and 50% relative humidity: 40 minutes
For indoor surfaces, employ space heaters to insure proper drying.

LIMITATIONS:
Do not apply when surface temperature is below 50’ F (10’ C) or when rain, fog or high humidity exists or when temperature exceeds 110’ F.
